In 2022, severe flooding caused by the simultaneous rise in the water levels of the Chenab, Sutlej, and Ravi rivers resulted in widespread devastation across Punjab, particularly in the southern districts. The floods caused significant loss of life, displacement, and extensive damage to property and livelihoods. In response to this emergency, the Foundation launched immediate relief operations under its Disaster and Relief Program. Emergency rescue and humanitarian assistance were carried out in the flood-affected areas of Budhay, Narang Mandi, Chand Brayar, Sadhowali, Muzaffargarh, Jalalpur Pirwala, and several other affected communities. Through these relief efforts, the Foundation provided emergency assistance and essential supplies to more than 30,000 flood-affected families, helping them meet their immediate needs during the crisis. The relief packages included cash assistance, food ration packs, kitchen utensils, tents, and other essential household items, ensuring timely support for families struggling to recover from the disaster. This initiative reflects the Foundation's commitment to standing with vulnerable communities during times of crisis by delivering rapid, compassionate, and effective humanitarian assistance.
